Gyaru 101 (Makeup) ‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.

One of the most important things about being a gal is your makeup! So having good makeup that matches the style you are doing is critical not only thing but having makeup that fits your face too! A lot of people say they don't consider themselves once they feel like they have achieved the right gal makeup!

I always recommend using experienced gals as a reference and sometimes if your reference is a Japanese gal I feel it can be hard to translate on your face if you don't have those facial features so I also recommend looking at both Japanese gals and western gals.

One of my biggest tips for gal is finding lots of lashes you like for both bottom and top as well as getting a good white that shows up well and matte powered. ofc each different substyle will have different makeup so for what substyle you do I recommend looking what specifically goes into that makeup!

Kuro gyaru

Manba

Agejo (or any older gal)

Hime gyaru

Kogal

Sorry these are kinda hard to see but you can look at https://www.instagram.com/galture_428/ for a better look!

I always recomend looking at gal magazines to get inspo if you dont have any physical ones you can look on internet archive or you can look on https://www.galrevo.com/zasshi-books or https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jUwpMvDWhpMI4ImnO5xmd6tRl6_TzJei and many other google drives will have magazines.

Another important talking point is gyaruo a male gyaru now sometimes they don't have makeup but some do and I feel its important to go over that! While I'm not a gyaruo so I definitely y don't have experience in doing the makeup I can give helpful resources

and example of a gyaruo who does wear makeup is Hideomi here is his makeup

Hideomi's makeup

Just like gal I think there are different styles of makeup within gyaruo (pls correct me if wrong) In my reserch I find that for gyaruo the hair is the most important part  which I will go over in my gyaru 101 about hair!

I also recommend looking at some gyaruo magazines like! men's egg magazine

Here are some makeup/ helpful gyaruo videos:
