Hii everyone I wanted to make this post to help educate people on gyaru and how to properly come off as gyaru. I will be making a series of posts on different topics on how to help you be gal todays post is going to just be a little dive into some of the substyles! So there are a number of different sub styles within gyaru that can all look very different for example some of the most popular sub styles are….

| tsuyome |
Agejo
Hime (princesses)
Rokku
| Onee (older sister) |
Amekaji
Yamanba
Ane (older sister but more dark and mature then onee)
Ishoku hada

While there are more sub styles this are some notable ones to get to know!
My number one tip for being gal is do your research, research how to do the hair from gal magazines like egg or ageha or even YouTube tutorials. Look up how to do the makeup for the style you want reference lots of different gals makeup you like look up tutorials each style will have varying makeup styles so it’s important to look at what key aspects go into the makeup of that specific sub style. Another thing I recommend for being gal is getting accessories, they are super important to make any outfit come off as more gal. I always recommend learning about the history of gal and the history behind your sub style and the culture within it. Another tip I have is to create a gal idol list pick some gals you look up to and try to reference them when you are dressing gyaru and even reference them for you gal mindset. My next tip is being part of a gyaru community wether you hang out with gals you know in real life and start a gal circle or even if it’s just online interacting with the gyaru community is an important step to be apart of gyaru culture.
I will be posting more posts about certain things like makeup and specific sub styles and how to become those but in the meantime here are some useful references for becoming gal:
